Hello! I’m Juliane Hoder, and I am owner and founder of Juliane & Alex!
I am honored that you would consider Juliane & Alex to capture to memory of your wedding day, and I look forward to meeting you. The best way to see if Juliane & Alex is a good fit for you is by checking out my work. But it may also be helpful to explain a bit of the heart behind what I do when I am shooting and editing wedding films. My main goal is to:
create timeless wedding films through cinematic grace and journalistic truth.
What I mean by this:
Cinematic grace is valuing and emphasizing light, composition, and movement to tell the story of your wedding day. I carefully consider lens options, lighting situations, and the timing of moments throughout your wedding day to beautifully share your story. I stick to classic filmmaking and editing styles that have already proven themselves, and stay away from fads that come and go with each wedding season.
Journalistic truth is reflecting you, your love, your family, and your wedding day. This means paying attention to all those special, un-choreographed and un-rehearsed moments that shine brightly throughout your day. I am not here to invent a story but capture your story truly and honestly. I am ready and alert to capture every moment as it happens, because many of the most impactful parts of your wedding day aren't always on the schedule.
The best way to see if I’m the right fit for your wedding?
A little bit about me:
1) I am originally from Stuttgart, Germany. My entire extended family is still in Europe (in Germany and in Wales), meaning I get to take many trips to visit them!
2) I have been married to my amazing husband Alex for 5 years. His name is in the company name as his heart and innovation can be seen in everything I do at Juliane & Alex.
3) I have two amazing dogs- Lizzy and Oliver. Both were adopted from Austin Pets Alive!, and I’ve never had more loyal editing buds.
4) Some of my favorite things to do- run, bike, date nights with Alex, long walks with the pups, filming, and eating Chuys.
Meet the pups! Lizzy and Oliver were adopted from Austin Pets Alive, an amazing organization doing so much to keep Austin the largest no-kill shelter city in America.
